Ali Nuhu Swaps Kaftans for Tracksuits in MAKEMATION

When we say that MAKEMATION is more than a film, we ABSOLUTELY mean it. This is why the Darling and Zaddy of the North cum Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, Ali Nuhu, is in our film! You knooooooow!

MAKEMATION, the tech family movie of the year, is a gathering of stars from the North, South, East and West to tell a story. A story of hope for the future as powered by tech and AI. A story of hope for the girl child as powered by STEM education and adoption.

More importantly, it is a story about the power of collaboration, friendship and unity.

Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji—the Executive Producer of MAKEMATION—knew that this groundbreaking movie needed heavy star power and a fine mix of actors from all regions. That’s why she brought in perhaps one of Kannywood’s biggest names.

Today, the whole WORLD is talking about Ali Nuhu’s Football Coach Role in MAKEMATION!

Ali Nuhu: A Wealth of Experience; A Treasure Trove of Humility

Stepping onto the MAKEMATION set for the first time with his fresh and fly kaftans, the 51-year-old veteran of two decades turned heads and elicited gasps amongst the Lagos line up of Gen Z cool cats who’re also part of the film’s cast.

He looked like a young man coming to an incredibly important event. We would get to find out that this was his general approach to projects. No matter the project’s scale, Ali Nuhu approached them like a professional. Then, when work was over, he would not only fraternise but also offer advice towards its success.

Toyosi and her team not only quickly understood why he’s not just the most booked actor from Northern Nigeria. But his influence doesn’t stop there—they also why he holds the position he does within the government.

As the face of Northern Nigeria on the Most Anticipated Film of the Year 2025, Ali Nuhu offers the authenticity that the producer wanted the project to have. His role as Football Coach Gyang, who guides youngsters in sports and life is pivotal to showing how elderly support and tutelage is important in setting the tone for the future.
