When Tolulope Olayiwola’s now-famous Pastor Remote character hit social media, all of Nigeria laughed.
The 1994-born stand-up comedian and actor transcended language barriers with that iconic character which satirises certain behaviours associated with bible-thumping preachers.
Since his breakout into social media fame after years of traversing the Ibadan comedy scene, Remote has now featured the best content creators in Nigeria in his skits.
His famous catchphrase, “You are a wicked somebody” which he delivers in both Yoruba and English depending on the subject of his shenanigans has now made it into mainstream speak.
It wasn’t a surprise when Nollywood came calling.
MC Remote faces biggest acting challenge yet in AI-themed Family Fil, MAKEMATION
Now, MC Remote not only gets Nollywood representation in his skits but also features in as many as three productions every year, taking up many other roles outside his popular “Pastor Remote” character.
MAKEMATION is about to introduce another layer of The Polytechnic, Ibadan graduate, to his fans and the world, who we know will be paying attention to this film because of its themes.
