No one does it like Shaffy Bello!
Steeze, Aura, Beauty, Class, Style—she is their Mummy’s Mummy in the Nigerian Entertainment industry!
The highly inspirational, heavenly divine Shaffy Bello is one of the reasons that our film, MAKEMATION, is the Most Anticipated Movie of the Year 2025!
The story of how the “Christmas in Lagos” star came to join the cast of the project is just as beautiful as she is.

MAKEMATION Creator and Executive Producer Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji Showers Praise on Shaffy Bello
Toyosi had a dream to democratise AI knowledge and education. As a consummate AI professional, she understood that the pathway to Africa’s success depended on the knowledge of STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—but the limitations in this part of the world made it difficult for this knowledge to be easily accessible.
And so, she turned to storytelling.
“The film targets young people, but veteran actors needed to be in it,” the MAKEMATION EP said. “Along the line, I got to meet Aunty Shaffy. She held my hand to guide me through the ins-and-outs of Nollywood. She even followed me to my first investor pitch, and her presence helped convince everyone to get on board with my dream.”
Toyosi would go on to credit Shaffy Bello as a Co-Executive Producer on the film for her efforts.

A Different Shaffy
Nollywood fans know her as the “yummy mummy”, the “big aunty” or the “queen mother”. In MAKEMATION, she is the brains behind Nigeria’s foremost tech institute.
The veteran plays Professor Aarin Orazulike, a consummate tech and AI professional who founded the MAKEMATION institute to raise up the next generation of problem solvers.
She showed her class and expertise despite this being a very different role from what audiences are used to. She was also as much a mentor behind the scenes to the very young crew as she was in the film.
Nigerians can see Shaffy Bello’s latest in cinemas nationwide from the 18th of April, 2025. The film is produced by Rise Interactive Studios, and Nile Entertainment will distribute it.
